Gameboy Gallore!

Hello fellow collectors and gamers! If you've never owned a Gameboy, now might be a good time to start! Be it an OG, a Color, a Pocket or any other (yes, we even carry fairly rare models), we've got you covered. We of course have the games to go along with it, so go to our eBay shop and browse, if you have questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us!

We would also like to explain our pricing as some customers have been complaining about the sometimes higher prices than the average. Unlike most sellers who buy huge lots and simply "flip" their inventory as fast as possible, without proper testing, without proper cleaning and often, at ridiculously low prices which honest sellers can't compete with, we at Sammy's, we do things the hard way. If you are familiar with our Restoration Process, you'll see that we spend a LOT of time on every piece of inventory to ensure that you get what you pay for. Customer satisfaction always comes first. Let me give you some insights:

For example, let's take a Genesis MK1 I have worked on last weekend. It was diagnosed, disassembled down to the board and fully recapped (this is the process of removing old capacitors which often leak or even "pop" when they reach their end of life and can cause the machine to stop working or start having problems which only get worse over time). The recapping takes about 2 hours as there are over 34 capacitors to replace. After that, the board is cleaned again to remove flux and dirt. After this step, the shell is cleaned and sanitized, the plastic is treated, and the shell is finally polished. Next, all connectors and plugs are cleaned and restored and any problem is taken care of at this stage. After all is done, the console is reassembled and tested with several different games. Once we're happy with the result, it is sealed to keep dirt and humidity out until it is sold. As you can tell, this process is a labor of love that can take 4 or 5 hours depending on the device. So sure! You can find it cheaper, but as usual, you get what you pay for. And on eBay, it's quick to come back to bite you in the rear.

We're not trying to make other sellers look bad (they do that fairly well on their own), but if our price is higher, it's simply because of the necessary process that ensures that you will get what you've ordered. Also, we don't charge an arm and a leg in shipping to make up for the lower sales price, we ship promptly and often before the eBay deadline, we package our products with care and attention to make sure you get your order in a timely fashion and in the condition described in the listing. As usual, it's up to you, the consumer, to decide where your hard-earned cash goes. We choose to go above and beyond. Others choose the quick and dirty cash-grab.
