Retro gaming is alive and well, and we are offering everything you'll need to get in the groove. We are also part of the Right to Repair Movement which means that we source our inventory from reputable vendors and restore all our products to as close to perfection as possible. Our goal is to provide you, the customer, the collector, with the best systems and games out there from previous years and decades. We take pride in only selling and shipping products that meet or exceed our very high quality standards. We do not sell anything that does not work as you would expect it. Each product is tested more than once, cleaned and sanitized, inside and out. Please see below to learn how our process works.

Video Game Cartridges

  • Game is tested in clean console for functionality
  • Game is disassembled (if possible)
  • Pins are cleaned
  • The board is checked for damage and cleaned front and back (If necessary, components are replaced to restore functionality or to avoid damage from leaking capacitors)\
  • Case is cleaned inside and out
  • Oxidation protection is applied to the connecting pins
  • If a case is present, it will be cleaned and sanitized
  • Game is tested again to ensure everything works as expected

Video Game Discs

  • Game is tested in clean console for functionality
  • Disc is checked for scratches and other damage
  • Disc is cleaned to remove smudges and dirt
  • If the game is scratched, it is tested for data layer damage (if damage is found, the disc won't be sold)
  • If a case is present, it will be cleaned and sanitized
  • Game is tested again to ensure everything works as expected

Hand-held Gaming Systems

  • Console is tested for functionality
  • Console is disassembled for cleaning and testing
  • Internals are checked for damage and are repaired if possible (if not, the device will not be sold)
  • On older systems, capacitors might be replaced to avoid leakage
  • Any worn out parts will be replaced
  • Screen(s) tested for problems (burn-in, dark spots, etc.)
  • Console is cleaned inside and out (shell, buttons, connectors, etc.)
  • Console is reassembled
  • Console is tested again to ensure full functionality

Home Gaming Systems

  • Console is tested for functionality
  • Console is disassembled for cleaning and testing
  • Internals are checked for damage and are repaired if possible (if not, the device will not be sold)
  • On older systems, capacitors might be replaced to avoid leakage
  • Any worn out parts will be replaced
  • Console is cleaned inside and out (shell, buttons, connectors, etc.)
  • Console is reassembled
  • Console is tested again to ensure full functionality

Parts and accessories

  • Controllers, joysticks, power supplies, video connectors, memory cards, and all other accessories are disassembled (if possible, some devices are glued and can not be taken apart without damage to the housing)
  • They are cleaned inside and out and sanitized
  • Broken or worn-out parts are replaced with equal or higher quality parts
  • After reassembly, the devices are tested for full functionality

Important Information

We do NOT ship games or devices which do not meet our quality standards. Every game or device is functional when it ships. Note that these are USED systems and they will have some cosmetic flaws even with our refurbishment process (always view the listing's pictures!).

Some devices might go through shell or case replacement (it will be mentioned in the description) if the original was too badly damaged or too flawed to be sold. These will ship with the original case and components replaced during that process to allow users to revert the system/game to original state.
